The CRC field hockey season is HERE! Coaches have received their rosters and practice schedules. Coaches will be reaching out to you with information regarding the upcoming season. Just wanted to send out a few reminders and updates.
Practice Schedule: Coaches will be reaching out regarding the locations and times.
Crossbar: CRC is now using Crossbar! Please download the Crossbar app as this is how we will be communicating with parents. Crossbar allows for coaches to upload their practice and game schedule and for the parents to RSVP to those events - which is very helpful. In addition, Crossbar has a team chat setting where the parents can communicate and coaches can send out updates. Coaches can also post on the “Team Feed” any reminders. Please review your Crossbar settings online to ensure that you are getting notifications. I am hoping this new system and app will make it easier for everyone involved once we get to practice using it.
Skills & Drills Clinic: Many coaches were not planning on starting practice tomorrow but since we have the turf time tomorrow…CRC will be hosting a “Skills & Drills” clinic for Grades 3-8 at County Home Park from 6-8PM! Please RSVP so we can get a head count. Some of the Dulaney High School girls will be in attendance to help with the clinic! If your players are free, it would be great for them to attend!
Uniforms: Players that have played with us last season should have a uniform already. We have many players this season that need uniforms. I have ordered extra uniforms but obviously had to guess in terms of what sizes to order so we will have to do our best and may need to make swaps as we hand them out. I appreciate your flexibility and patience. I will accept a check or Venmo as payment for these uniforms.
Games: Games will begin Sunday, September 8th. The 3rd through 8th grade age groups will play on Sundays. The game schedule is usually published the first week of September. As soon as I have the schedule, I will send it to the coaches and they will then send it out to their teams. Our home fields for games are County Home Park, Meadowood Regional Park, Dulaney High School, and Padonia International Elementary School. The K-2nd Grade age group works a little differently in that they sign up to participate in “play days” - more details to follow regarding their game schedule.
