FAQ

What is the Cockeysville Recreation Council?

CRC is a non-profit, volunteer organization that promotes and administers public recreation programs in the Cockeysville community under the auspices of the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.

Mission Statement

In partnership with our Recreation and Parks Councils and citizens, we provide comprehensive recreation and parks programs, facilities, and services that respond to the changing needs within our communities in Baltimore County. We strive to preserve, enhance, and protect our open spaces to enrich the quality of life for present and future generations in a safe and secure environment.

Who can participate in CRC programs?

While there is an established geographic area for which the CRC has responsibility (see boundaries under About Cockeysville Rec, CRC draws participants from locations throughout Baltimore County and surrounding jurisdictions.

No person is prevented from registering for a program and no space is reserved for any person based on their residence being located in or outside of our boundaries. Programs and activities are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis to anyone registering at such times and places as determined by each activity.

What are the costs for CRC programs?

Because programs and activities of the CRC are self-supporting and not underwritten by Baltimore County or other public funds, a registration donation is normally requested for each person registering and is specific to individual programs.
