Maryland Black Ice is looking for softball players between the ages of 9-12 that are looking to improve their skills and take their game to the next level. Whether you are a new player or a rec/travel player, you will learn new skills and step up your game, all while making new friends, in a fun atmosphere. If you’re a travel or rec coach looking to expand and or have players interested in participating bring them along. If you are a parent looking to break into coaching at this level we have a spot for you. Practices will focus on building skills and understanding the game of softball.
Instruction will be led by former NCAA D1 player and coach Kathy McLaughlin. Kathy was an All-Conference player at the University of Maryland, ACC batting Champion, and played in 3 NCAA tournaments. She went on to become an assistant coach at D1 Providence College for 6 years. In addition Kathy has helped lead the Maryland Black Ice Elite Skills camps for the past 8 years. Guest college coaches and players will be added to the practices as we move forward. There is no one better to teach you the skills you need to realize your dream of playing in high school or college.
